Monday was a lame day. I had school and a test...it wasn't that bad though. I got some laundry done and went to bed early. Tuesday was pretty much the same thing; we didn't have class until that afternoon so we ended up sleeping in and then we finalized all our Paris plans. I am so incredibly excited to go back to Paris! I can't wait. We decided that our last weekend we were going to save our money, stay in Florence, and just do a long museum weekend. We want to see what Florence really has to offer...besides food and wine.
Today was pretty busy. We had Italian class in the morning, went to the Uffizi gallery (amazing!), listened to a speaker from the American Embassy, and then finished up with cooking class tonight. It was so yummy. We made ricotta and spinach ravioli with a butter and sage sauce, an asparagus and parmesan souffle, and a panna cotta with a strawberry sauce on top for dessert! I was very proud of myself, I have to say. Who knew I could make pasta from scratch?!

[And so it begins...]

[Gelatin for the panna cotta...weird]

[Teamwork!]
[Making pasta...very seriously]

[Souffle!]
[Cooking the pasta and sage/butter sauce]
[Finished product!]
I didn't even get a picture of our dessert; we inhaled it too fast! We were all super impressed with the meal. It might have even been better than last time...they were both pretty amazing, though. I'm still full hours later! And I'm so tired, but I'm excited for tomorrow! We leave for Pisa tomorrow morning at 8:15, and then leave for the Amalfi Coast tomorrow afternoon. I'm so excited for our beach trip/seeing Pompeii! I won't be bringing my computer, but I'll be sure to do a big post on Sunday when we get back.
Love and Miss Y'all!

Cousin! These pasta-making pics remind me of my time in China at the noodle house. I even posted a pic on my BeidaBeijing blog. See http://bit.ly/jWRL3D. Miss you, Cousin Frankie
